What is the difference between a tag and an affiliation?

Both tags and affiliations are ways to capture and organize your information. Here's the best way we've come up with to explain the subtle but important differences between them:

* A tag groups like records together, sort of like a virtual paper clip. In general, you tag records by how they relate to you (such as customer, vendor, friend, etc.)

* An affiliation refers to how records relate to each other. Say you have a record for Karen Jones and one for Angie Jones, and they are sisters. You can affiliate these records to each other as sisters, and the records will be linked.
